Q. How can I request an article or book chapter the libraries do not have online?

  Jun 22, 2020

Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows current BU students, faculty, and staff to request articles, book chapters, and other materials from other libraries. Visit our Interlibrary Loan page to find forms to request items.

Note that our ability to fulfill these requests is limited by availability and by limitations on the service available from the many libraries we partner with for interlibrary loan services. We will do our best to obtain electronic copies of articles and book chapters needed for course work and research.

Despite these limitations, the majority of requests are still filled in under a week, and often in just a few days.
