Q. How do I cite ChatGPT and other generative AI?

Before using ChatGPT or similar tools in academic assignments, confirm with your instructor. Policies vary—some may prohibit use, while others allow limited applications.
If allowed, follow these guidelines for citing generative AI:
Your instructor may also require an appendix with ChatGPT prompts or a full transcript of your interaction.
