Q. Where can I find information about a company's environmental or ethical record?

  May 20, 2019

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a set of criteria used to evaluate companies on their sustainability and ethical practices. Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) is a financial services analytics firm that rates companies based on this criteria. Students can access MSCI's ESG ratings through the following sources:

  1. MSCI ESG Direct.
  2. Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). Select MSCI, then MSCI ESG KLD STATS. Once you are in the dataset, click on Social Ratings (Full). Please note that WRDS is not available to undergraduates.
