The BU Libraries generally do not keep textbooks. Sometimes faculty members put textbooks and articles on Course Reserve. You can look them up by title, author, course name, course instructor, or keyword via the Course Reserve search in BU Libraries Search.

You can also use the main BU Libraries search box on the libraries home page to see if a particular book in in our collection.

The BU Libraries, like most academic libraries, do not generally buy textbooks. Textbooks are designed for classroom use and are presumed to present the state-of-the-art of a field. They can go out of date very quickly.
