You will be able to opt out of open access for a specific article by filling out a web-based waiver form. The form will allow you to opt out entirely, or to embargo your article for a period of time. The waiver will be granted automatically.

It is important to note that even if you opt out entirely, we would still hope to deposit your article into OpenBU for archival and preservation purposes. Its metadata (author name, title, publication information) will be discoverable, and we will include a link to the publisher’s final version, to which a reader may or may not ultimately have access. We will do this in order to preserve a more complete portfolio of BU research, as well as drive more readers to your published piece. If you’ve opted out, readers will not be able to read the version of the article housed at OpenBU.
