You can renew your books in person (you do not need to bring the book with you). You can also renew books online, no sooner than 7 days prior to the due date, by signing in to BU Libraries Search and viewing the items you have checked out.

  • Your items are overdue
  • Your record is blocked for any reason
  • The item you wish to renew has been recalled by another patron

If you cannot renew remotely and have no way to return items promptly, please let us know by calling us (617-353-3732) or emailing us (be sure to include title, call number and check-out location for each item). You may also send the renewal request to Mugar Circulation by mail if postmarked by the item's original due date. Items may be renewed as many times as you like. Mugar Memorial Library does not renew books by phone.
